Hydro Majestic Hotel reopens
One of the most anticipated re-openings of the year took place last
Thursday at Medlow Bath in the Blue Mountains, NSW.
The iconic Blue Mountains' Hydro Majestic Hotel has been revealed to the public after six years of planning and review.
Spanning more than 1.2 kilometres over the escarpment of Medlow Bath, the hotel has historically inspired interiors, which reference the past and fold into the present.
The hotel has interpreted the many periods of the hotels history, creating a unique range of carpets, paintings, wallpapers and furnishings based on period influences referencing the Edwardian, Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
Key venues of the hotel have been restored including The Casino Lobby, The Wintergarden, The Majestic Ballroom and the historic Boiler House. New additions have been The Majestic Point Lookout, The Pavilion, Salon Du The and Cat's which is a bar and gin palace.
