Lauren Burns created sporting history by winning the first ever Olympic
gold medal for Taekwondo when the sport made its debut at the Sydney 2000
Olympic Games.
Since the Sydney Olympics, Lauren has emerged as one of the most
successful Olympians from these Games. Lauren talks about what it takes to
be successful. She transforms her stories and experiences into life skills
making them entertaining and relevant to her listeners.
Lauren interacts with her audience in a fun manner with the added
highlight of inviting someone up on stage to break a board with the palm of
their hand. Lauren has the ability to create active audience participation
with groups of 10 to 10,000. During her more 'active' workshops Lauren the
entire audience breaking boards! Her presentations always leave the
audience buzzing with excitement.
Lauren's Workshops Include
- Sharing inspirational stories and linking them to conference themes
- Key messages relating to self-belief, passion, determination vs natural talent, strategy, studying your opponents and self-talk
- Simple but high energy taekwondo moves (punching pads, self defence etc)
- Focus on fun, teamwork, practical skills and key messages
- All participants breaking boards (within a few minutes for high impact finale)
- Signing of participants' boards as take home souvenirs
A great way to kick off a conference or as the very last session.
This workshop is perfect for any size group; small and intimate or
hundreds of people. The noise and intensity in the room with hundreds of
people breaking boards is awesome!
