Conference Resources encourages local businesses to enter teams in the Challenge Outrigger Canoe Race, held on Pittwater in Sydney's north. The outrigger club provides the canoes, the paddles and the steersman for up to 40 competitors to enjoy the race.

Paddling occurs in crews of five members each in Hawaiian-style canoes. The recreational contest matches teams against each other in short and exciting regatta-style races held on Pittwater. The event provides fun, exciting and healthy interaction for participants while promoting and establishing teambuilding and communication skills.
